Chapter I
Entering the Forest
Why Roblox, and why now
This is a role my career has been quietly preparing me for. For the better part of a decade I have owned India and South Asia marketing while the companies I worked for were headquartered elsewhere entirely.
The prospect of being the first person on the ground for a market as large and as varied as India is one I find genuinely compelling — building the go-to-market approach, the community and influencer engine, and the event strategy from first principles.
Chapter II
Navigating Diverse Terrains
India from inside India, argued back to HQ
My career began in New Delhi running community marketing for GamerConnect: NVIDIA GamerConnect events that drew over 2,000 attendees, and a stint as Gaming Ambassador for Dell Alienware and Lenovo Legion where I recorded the highest in-store engagement of anyone in the programme.
From there I remained based in India while the companies I worked for were headquartered abroad — Warsaw, Amsterdam, Singapore. In each case I was the person on the ground running India, and the one making the case for India back to headquarters.
Chapter III
Building Civil Communities
The audience, and the people who make it
What I find particularly appealing about this role is the audience it serves. Roblox's playerbase skews young, and having grown up within the gaming community myself, I count many of the creators, players, and organisers who make up that world in India amongst my own professional network.
I have built this kind of engine before: a network of over 150 influencer partnerships, Facebook Gaming and Garena communities that surpassed 500,000 followers, and a Discord community that grew 65 percent in three months.

Chapter IV
Scaling the Campfire
Strategy that adapts market by market
The one period in which I stepped outside India was my most recent role, as Head of Global Marketing at Fair Sky Partners, running go-to-market strategy across Spain, the UK, Canada, and Scandinavia.
Each market carried its own regulatory and cultural considerations, and holding a single coherent brand together across all of them sharpened precisely the skill this role requires: adapting strategy market by market whilst continuing to advocate for that market's needs at headquarters.

Chapter V
Connecting a Billion
The offer
At ZOTAC, owning India and South Asia strategy meant growing organic social engagement by 140 percent in 90 days. On the ground at ESL and Dreamhack, it meant reaching more than 20,000 people across India.
I am based in Delhi and would relish the opportunity to be Roblox's first local marketing hire in India. I would be delighted to discuss this further at your convenience.
